API Keys

API keys are no longer required

You no longer need an API key or an account to use Guardrails. Every validator is a public PyPI package. Install it and go.

Getting started

    Pick a validator

    Browse the validator hub to find one that fits your guard.

    Install it from PyPI

    pip
    pip install guardrails-ai-detect-pii
  3. 3

    Use it in a guard

    No configuration or authentication step in between.

    from guardrails import Guard
from guardrails_ai.detect_pii import DetectPII

guard = Guard().use(DetectPII)
guard.validate("some text")

Already ran guardrails configure with an API key? Leave it as-is. It is simply ignored.
